Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship from the Indo-American Environmental Leadership Program. My time will be spent in India for 6 weeks instead of 3-months (from May 22-June 30). Rough ride waiting over 7 months for clearance of my research visa. In maintaining a positive attitude, I'm here and am loving it!

San Francisco State University Press Release

I'll be working with the Ministry of Environment and Forests, and the National Green Corps, evaluating one of their environmental education programs in the schools - ECO Clubs.

Hi Nina!

Great blog! Now I can keep track of your daily coming and going.

You are on the trip of a lifetime and are getting to see and experience things that most of us in your family will never see. Your Great-Grandmother Miriam would be proud!

Looking forward to hearing more about your trip and seeing your photos.

Don't take any wooden rupees!

Love,
Uncle Steve

Those rickshaws would come in quite handy in San Francisco traffic! I'm excited to read about your days there... may your luck increase week by week.

We hope you come home without any monkeys!! Maybe just some photos of them!! What a great adventure you are one! We are thrilled that are able to visit the land of your Great grandmother, Munia Natchmatum, who later became Miriam James then married to Miriam Gothard. Much love, Mom and Dad
